Five Keys to Choosing the Perfect Internet Business

When deciding on a network marketing company to join, you should take into account five crucial criteria.  These five “Keys to Success” help ensure that the Opportunity is real and it’s a business real people can do, so that you won’t have to struggle for success. I know I’ve sunk money into an “opportunity” that, in hindsight, wasn’t so great. These “Keys” will help you make a good decision about which company you want to partner with.

Key #1—Solid Management

The company management must have rock-solid experience backed with unquestionable integrity.  Make it a priority to Google the names of the company leaders and your sponsor  to make sure that there is not a lot of “Bad Press” that would indicate legal or ethical problems. Since the internet is unregulated to a great extent, there are always a few malcontents who enjoy complaining. Ignore a lone complaint in sea of positive reports.  Sometimes, you may find no information at all Many of today’s leaders are business people and not network marketers. This key is important because without experience, management has a tendency to make uneducated decisions that could affect YOUR income and future.

Key #2—Right Timing

Timing in the company is crucial; timing in the profession of network marketing, as well as timing within national and global trends.  “Timing is everything"  is true in network marketing, but not in the way you might think.

Be careful of brand new companies.  They use words like “pre-launch” or “just launched.”  Another one to watch out for is “ground floor opportunity.”  This ground floor opportunity, most likely will never get off the ground.  Scams are by their nature, “quick, immediate, right now, or not valid when the timer runs out”.  Run for your life when you see those words or phrases in advertising.  The MAJORITY of these businesses will fail within first 2 years or they are outright scams.  I have observed a number of these brand new “opportunities” and they often fold in the first year or two leaving you out of luck.  Only a very few of them will make it, so it’s wise to join a company that has at least two years of history.   If they are over the “start-up” hurdles, there will be PLENTY of opportunity to make money with them.  Don’t waste your money on unproven business opportunities.

Key #3—Incredible Products

Top notch products people will buy EVEN without the compensation plan attached to them, is an absolutely essential ingredient for a successful MLM.  If you are trying to promote anything that people will stop buying or using without a compensation plan involved, you will struggle.  Find a product or products that are life changing; get people to try them and your business will grow, even if they do not join your business.  With this model you can build a significant residual income. Make sure that in addition to being a Top Quality product or products, the company must offer an Unconditional Money Back Guarantee.  Check references.  Be sure to talk to other people who use the company products.  You want to hear success stories.

Key #4-“Best in Class” Compensation Plan

Look for a compensation plan that rewards the top builders as well as the part-time person.  Studies show that 96% of your team will be made of part-time people.  Many compensation plans are not designed for the little guy just starting out or working the business part time.  Check for compensation plans that require a new member to “pass-up” commissions to their upline. Making sales without earning commissions is very disheartening to someone just getting started in Network Marketing.

You can earn a significant income as an “Affiliate.”  Be mindful of the differences between “Affiliate” and “Authorized Representative.”  As an “Affiliate” you are simply a sales person for someone else’s company.  As an “Authorized Representative” you are building a business you own.  One, which with diligence and good business practices, can provide you an ongoing, residual income for many years to come.

Key #5-Proven Duplicable System

Look for a company with a “proven” duplicable system that allows part-time people to create a significant residual income and full-time people to create an extraordinary residual income.  Unless you are an Internet Marketing Professional, who already has a working system in place to market this new opportunity, you need a system to market your business. Winning companies have a system that you can plug into and see quick success.  You can then plug your new associates into this same system and help them achieve success quickly. Duplication is the key to making money in Network Marketing.  Nothing duplicates better than quick success. So, check to make sure the company a proven system so that ANYONE who plugs in can be successful.

The internet is a cacophony of Hype and Hyperbole. There are a lot of outrageous claims, glitzy websites, and guarantees of enormous wealth on the Internet these days, but very few can deliver.  Use this guide to qualify each company you consider joining to see if it truly has the five Keys essential to your success in your new network marketing business.
